Dear Building Together,
You are the people I am totally thankful for. You have made my life more enjoyable, and I have called you “MY DREAM COME TRUE PEOPLE.
Though I had been in touch with CHRISTMAS IN APRIL years before, noth1ng had transpired. Then, after having neck surgery last August, 2008, one week home from the hospital and I had no water. I called plumbing patrol and they came out and found that I needed a sup-pump put in my well. The old pump in the pump house was no longer workable. I didn’t have the money for that. I have been on social security disability since 1999. The plumbing Patrol told me they worked with Steve Spratt Improvements and felt sure he would help me. The sup-pump would not cost me a penny. That was surely the best thing I could have heard. I began to feel so blessed.
I really was feeling another blessing coming on when Jim and Martha Dow called after the problem with the pump was fixed. It was a mighty, mighty thing that happened when they came out and looked the place over and took note of what was needed to be done. Two of the nicest people anyone in need could know. It was easy to see they loved helping someone. They were my “LEAD BELL SHEEP”, and later had their whole flock here for two weekends plus knocking and measuring and pounding.
They were no longer Christmas In April. They had a new given name which was BUILDING TOGETHER. THAT IS WHAT YOU ARE A GREAT PART OF. You can be proud of what you do. God has given you the continued strength to ‘create good works’ in his name. It’s a far greater gift you carry in your heart to do the will of the Lord, by helping to fix up the frame of a broken down home, than possible any other one thing you may do the rest of your life. You are builders of the flame. By restoring a home, you also help to restore the warmth of family memories instilled with every piece of wood and nail.
I told you – YOU BROUGHT ME HOPE.
YOU MADE ME FEEL MORE GRACIOUS. AND YOU HAVE OPENED IN ME A MORE HUMBLED HEART.
I can only now say I wish each of you a more beautiful life for I know God holds you in his favor. Isn’t that what we are all Striving for with each new morning as we arise, and each evening as night falls.
Sincere Thanks in the name of Jesus,
Peggy A. Kube
